ADDENDUM # 1 AND DUE DATE EXTENSION ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR DEMOLITION OF MUNICIPAL POOL AND BUILDING FOR THE CITY OF UNION CITY, TENNESSEE  Bid Specifications and submission date have been revised.  Bids for the furnishing of labor, tools, equipment and materials, supplies and services necessary to demolish pool and building per specifications at the corner of East Main Ext, and Sunswept Dr. in the northwest corner of Graham Park in Union City, Tennessee, will be received by the City of Union City, Tennessee until noon on Tuesday, December 28, 2011, at the Municipal Building, 408 S. Depot Street, Union City, Tennessee 38261, at which time and place, the bids will be opened and presented to the City Council at their regular meeting on January 3, 2012 at 5:30 P.M.  Bids for this project being delivered via U.S. Postal Service should be addressed to Ms. Kathy Dillon, City Manager, P.O. Box 9, Union City, TN 38281 or shipped via a parcel delivery service should be addressed to Ms. Kathy Dillon, City Manager, 408 S. Depot Street, Union City, Tennessee 38261, and the bidder shall be responsible for their early delivery. Bids delivered using the U.S. Postal Service or a parcel delivery service must be labeled with “bid enclosed” on the outside envelope and an inside sealed envelope with all required information utilized to package the bid. Bid must be submitted on City’s Bid Form enclosed with contract document.  The contract document may be examined at the office of the City Manager, Municipal Building, 408 S. Depot Street, Union City, Tennessee 38261.  The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to negotiate with the apparent best bidder or bidders to such extent as may be necessary. No bidder may withdraw his bid for 30 days after the date of the bid opening.
