EARNS SCHOLARSHIP — South Fulton High School graduate Alex Burrow (seated) was recently chosen as one of the winners of the 2008 Obion County Litter Grant Scholarship Essay Contest. She received a $500 scholarship, presented by Obion County Sheriff Jerry Vastbinder and KYTN account representative Jennifer Ray. All Obion County high school seniors had the opportunity to write essays of 300 words or less on “Stop litter — Tennessee’s had enough!” The scholarship contest was sponsored by the Obion County Sheriff’s Department, through the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s statewide litter grant program and 104.9 KYTN.
