Nursing home events set

Obion County Nursing Home has announced the following activities for Aug. 25-31
Monday: A coffee break and a devotional reading will be held at 9:30 a.m. At 2, August birthdays will be celebrated. Wii-Tennis games will be played at 3.
Tuesday: At 9:30 a.m., a coffee break and current events will be held. Decorating sheets will be at 10. A movie, with popcorn, or a ride to Fulton for residents to see old homeplaces where they once lived will be offered at 1:30 Lemonade will be served on the front porch at 3:30.
Wednesday: A coffee break and Bible study will be held at 9:30 a.m. At 10, checkers will be played. Bingo, with covercard, will be played and at 3:30 music and crossword puzzles will be offered.
Thursday: The beauty shop will be held at 11 a.m. A skip-bo card game will be held at 1:30. Manicures will be given at 2:30.
Friday: A coffee break and poetry reading will be held at 9:30 a.m. At 10, Wii-bowling games will be played. Bingo will be offered at 2, followed by jigsaw puzzles at 3.
Saturday: At 10 a.m., First Assembly of God will visit and hold services. A Saturday matinee, featuring John Wayne in “True Grit,” will be shown at 1:30. Chips and dip will be served for refreshments. A game of Uno will be played at 3:30.
Sunday: At 10 a.m., Troy First Baptist Church will visit. Sunday tea with family and friends will be held at 2.
