OC Nursing Home schedules activities

The Obion County Nursing Home has announced the following activities for Sept. 1-7: Monday: A coffee break and discussion of current events will begin at 9:30 a.m. At 1:30 p.m., a front porch social will be held, with a fruit tray to be served, followed by Wii bowling at 3 p.m. Tuesday: At 9:30 a.m., a coffee break and discussion of current events will be held, followed by Bible study at 10:30 a.m. The van will depart at 1:30 p.m. to venture to Harris Station to view homeplaces. Wednesday: A coffee break will start at 9:30 a.m., with Wii tennis and golf to follow at 10:30 a.m. Bingo will be played at 1:30 p.m., with covercard, and manicures will start at 2:30 p.m. Thursday: Beauty shop services will be available from 8-11 a.m. At 1:30 p.m., popcorn and Coke™ will be served and episodes of “The Andy Griffith Show” will be shown. Sudoko will be played at 3:30 p.m. Friday: A coffee break will begin at 9:30 a.m. and checkers will be played at 10:30 a.m. Bingo, with covercard, will start at 1:30 p.m., followed by Skip-Bo cards at 3:30 p.m. Saturday: First Assembly of God will hold church services at 10 a.m. A Saturday matinee will feature a showing of “The Three Stooges,” followed by jigsaw puzzle activity at 3 p.m. Sunday: Troy First Baptist Church will conduct church services at 10 a.m. A Sunday tea and family visits will start at 2 p.m. Published in The Messenger 8.27.08
