Registration date set

Local residents who have not registered to vote must do so by Oct. 6. Registration with a postmark of Oct. 6 will be processed, according to the Obion County Election Commission.

The local election office is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The address is 308  Bill Burnett Circle in Union City, behind the Obion County  Courthouse.

Registered voters who have changed their address since the last election must come to the office and note this change or send correspondence to the office providing the new address. The note must be signed by the voter.
