Homecoming set at UT Martin

The University of Tennessee at Martin Office of Alumni Relations will evoke memories of 1969 with “Come Together,” a song by the Beatles, as the theme of this year’s homecoming.
Homecoming 2008 will be celebrated Monday through Oct. 5, with Quad City’s live music, a children’s carnival, reunion and college tents, a petting farm, carnival games, food and fellowship as a focal point from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Oct. 4 in the Quad.
The full schedule includes:
Monday
• Noon — Art Unveiled, Paul Meek Library.
• 4 p.m. — Rope pull, Pacer Pond.
Tuesday
• 11:30 a.m. — Times Talk on Banned Books, Room 125 of the cafeteria, Boling University Center.
• 4 p.m. — Rope pull, Pacer Pond.
• 7 p.m. — Lip sync show, Pacer Pond.
• 8:30 p.m. — Bonfire, Pacer Pond.
• 8:45 p.m. — Homecoming court announcement, Pacer Pond.
Oct. 1
• Noon — Women In Chemistry Exhibit, Room 118, Paul Meek Library.
• 4 p.m. — Rope pull, Pacer Pond.
• 7 p.m. — Campus Ministries, Boling University Center.
