To observe anniversary

Anointed Church of the Living God will be in the Tennessee State Assembly Friday-Saturday at 7 p.m. The Rev. Eni Carney of Central City, Ky., and Deaconess Daphne Lelcesona of Martin will be the speakers Friday. Evangelists Janice Crittendon of Union City and Deborah Gilmore of Martin will be the speakers Saturday. 

Various choirs will be singing in these services that will be leading up to Bishop Barbara Bolden’s “pastor’s anniversary” Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Dr. Commodore Warren from Embassy of Truth Ministries of Dyersburg will be the speaker Sunday. 

A meal will be served after morning services and there will be no afternoon program. 

“Come out and help Bishop Bolden celebrate 19 years of faithful service to the Lord,” a spokesman said.

The church is located at 1211 South Miles Ave. in Union City.

 

Smith Family to sing

The Smith Family Trio from Fulton will be in gospel concert at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Yuma Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. The church is located about 2 1/2 miles east of Yuma on Hwy. 114 South. 

“The Smith Family consists of a husband, wife and son who have great family harmony and they will bless your heart,” a spokesman said. “So make plans now to come to New Hope Missionary Baptist Church to hear this group of dedicated singers and show your support of the gospel and for the Lord in this time of need that our nation is going through.”

The Rev. John D. Small is pastor.

Revival will begin

Graves Chapel Church of God, located at 112 Luther Davis Road near Troy, will open revival services Monday and continue through Oct. 24 at 7 each evening. The Rev. Randy Lainhart of Paris will be the evangelist.

The Rev. William Matheny and the congregation invite the community to join them.

 

To host revival

New Beginnings Apostolic Church, located on Middle Road in Fulton, will be in revival Friday through Sunday, with different speakers each evening.

On Friday, the Rev. T.D. Morris will open the 7 p.m. services, with the Rev. Mel Puckett speaking at the same time Saturday night.

The Rev. Brian Goodman will be the evangelist Sunday at 10 a.m. and the Rev. Jessie L.O. Webb will fill the pulpit Sunday at 7 p.m.

The community is invited to attend.

 

Dixie Echoes to sing

The Dixie Echoes will host the 26th West Tennessee Homecoming Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Yorkville City Park building. Appearing with the Dixie Echoes will be Direct Connection and the Doss Family. Tickets for the singing are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Children younger than 12 will be admitted free.

A white bean and hamburger supper will be served beginning at 5 p.m.

 

‘Soul Survival’ revival set

Brooks Chapel Ministries will open the Soul Survival revival at Ken-Tenn Community Center, located at 804 Rosenwald Drive in South Fulton, this evening through Saturday at 7.

The Rev. Del Lawrence of Holy South Church in Memphis will speak this evening. 

The Rev. John Williams of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Martin will be the evangelist Friday evening. 

Bishop Nolan Hardin of Greater Deliverance Church in Fulton will be the speaker Saturday.

The Rev. Jessie L.O. Webb is the pastor.
