Vida Opal Copeland



Vida Opal Copeland, 92, of Palmersville, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at Hillview Community Living Center in Dresden.
Services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Union Chapel Church of Christ in Palmersville, with Bro. Shannon Seaton, Bro. Harvey Elder and Bro. Bob Copeland officiating. Burial was in Morgan Cemetery, Palmersville.
Kenneth Donoho, Johnny Jolley, Marlon Fagan, James Bynum, Danny Copeland and Jerry Copeland served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Copeland was born in Weakley County, daughter of the late Tobe and Ela Grubbs Mansfield. She was the widow of Lowell Copeland, a homemaker and a member of Union Chapel Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald Copeland, Donald Copeland and Bob Copeland, all of Palmersville; three sisters, Erma Murdock and Geraldine Shepherd, both of Dresden, and Christine Harris of Virginia Beach, Va.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Rubie Lee Bukoski; and three brothers, Fred Mansfield, Bill Mansfield and Sammie Roberts.
