Letter to WCP editor: Sara Gallimore and Brandon White

Posted: Thursday, December 4, 2008 2:06 pm
By: The Laird Family

To the Editor, To Sara Gallimore and Brandon White: Matthew 6:14-15 — “For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” We can say from years of experience that we are a forgiving family. We find our strengths in moments of weakness from God. As the verses state here, we are to forgive. My family does this not only because we are told to by God, but because we want to. With that comes our peace of mind. It has been said that the only real mistakes are the ones where we learn nothing. I believe you not only learned from this, but others did as well. We saw how closely a community sticks together, and how one action can cause a ripple in the pond that affect many. I speak on behalf of the Laird family, that we as a unit and individuals, forgive you, and accept your apologies. Though the lesson learned throughout this whole ordeal was at the expense and pain of our brother, son, nephew, cousin and friend, we have seen God’s work. He showed us that in any situation we can forgive others, just as He does for us. The family of Dustin Laird WCP 12.02.08
