DSCC Set To Host Softball Camp
The Dyersburg State Com-munity College Lady Eagle softball team will host its annual camp from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 21 in the E.H. Lannom, Jr. Gymnasium on campus in Dyersburg. The camp is for softball players in first to 12th grades. DSCC's players and coaches, including head coach Randy Hulme, share their passion for the game and help participants improve their fundamental skills, mental concentration, attitude and conditioning. The camp includes individual evaluation, classroom lectures, group and individual instruction, strength and conditioning drills, and indoor batting cage practice. The cost for the camp is $60 per player or $500 per team and includes lunch. Teams must register with at least 10 players, but no more than 14. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 21. Participants must dress appropriately for outdoor play by wearing a light jacket or sweats and gym or tennis shoes, along with cleats. They must also bring their own bats, batting gloves, and helmets. For more information, call Hulme at 731-286-3274 or e-mail him at hulme@dscc.edu.
