The Regional Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Center, in cooperation with the USDA, is providing grant funding for eligible small business to aid in business development.
Grant funds may be used in the development of various business functions including QuickBooks training, marketing assistance and Web site development/e-commerce.
Grants will be offered in three categories:
• QuickBooks — Grant recipients may choose to receive one-on-one training and assistance by a QuickBooks trainer. The training will be customized according to the recipient’s level of knowledge and existing need.
• Marketing — Grant recipients may choose to receive marking assistance in marketing research, the development of new products or services, market demand assessment, market demand strategy or another area of their choosing.
• Web site development/e-commerce — Grant recipients may choose to receive assistance in developing a business Web site or adding e-commerce to an existing Web site.
The deadline for grant submittal is Feb. 27. Anyone interested in applying for grant funds should go to the Web site www.utm.edu/reed. The number of grants awarded will be determined by the REED Center based on the number of applicants seeking assistance.
For more information, contact Hollie Holt, REED Center coordinator, at (731) 587-7333 or hholt@utm.edu.
