Miss Snider, Bondurant to wed
The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Courtney Allison Snider of Kingsport and James Dylan Bondurant of Union City is being announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of Paula and Larry Snider of Kingsport. Her grandparents are Jessie and Orring Snider of Sharon and the late Dorothy and Preston Burton of Martin. She is the step-granddaughter of the late Thelma White Burton of Martin. She graduated from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2006. She is pursuing her master’s degree in elementary education at the University of Tennessee at Martin. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and is a graduate assistant in the education department at UTM. The groom-elect is the son of Mary Nita and Jim Bondurant of Union City. His grandparents are Kaye and Judge James Bondurant of Hodgenville, Ky., and Virginia Gray and the late Lewis Gray of Princeton, Ky. He graduated magna cum laude from UTM with a bachelor’s degree in biology and minor in chemistry in 2004. He is completing his doctor of optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis and plans to graduate in May. He plans to return to the Union City area and begin his practice. The couple will wed at 6 p.m. Nov. 17 at Dancing Bear Lodge in Townsend. A reception will follow immediately at the same location. Published in The Messenger on 10.22.07
