Home, Lawn & Farm Show set in Murray

The 20th annual Home, Lawn & Farm Show will be in Murray, Ky., Friday through Sunday at the Regional Special Events Center (R-SEC) on the campus of Murray State University.
Briggs & Stratton Corp., Rightway Nursery & Landscaping and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture are sponsors of this annual event that draws thousands of visitors to the R-SEC.
The Home, Lawn & Farm Show is free and open to the public Friday from 5-9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday noon-5 p.m. Monetary donations will be accepted at the entrances to benefit CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Calloway and Marshall Counties Inc.
Over 100 businesses from the region will be displaying and demonstrating their products and services during the three-day event. Thousands of dollars worth of door prizes are available to be won by the public. Over 25 informative seminars will be presented during the show that will educate consumers about energy efficiency, landscaping, agriculture and more. Additionally, the Kentucky Department of Agriculture will be offering their Continuing Education Unit (CEUs) course on pesticides.
St. Jude Dream Home® giveaway tickets will be available throughout the show. There will be an area designated “Kids Zone” with activities for children younger than age 12. Saturday from 2-4 p.m. Mr. Froggy, the mascot of the regional radio station Froggy 103.7FM will be celebrating his 12th birthday during the event. Food, fun and birthday gifts will be given to children from Mr. Froggy.
