Award-winning actress Cherry Jones will be available for photos to raise money for local causes
Award-winning actress Cherry Jones will be available for photos to raise money for local causes | Cherry Jones, President Allison Taylor, 24, Paris-Henry County Heritage Center, Paris, Tennessee

Cherry Jones, aka President Allison Taylor on the TV drama "24" holds one of the many autographed scripts offered at the upcoming charity auction at the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center.
During her back-to-back fund-raisers on Apr. 18, Paris native and two-time Tony Award winning actress Cherry Jones will take photos with fans. Jones portrays U.S. President Allison Taylor on the hit TV drama "24".

"The photo op will last from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Jack Jones Flowers (in Paris), with a limited number of tickets available," said Pam Conger, project chair. "Fans will be able to purchase tickets in a specific 15-minute block. This will eliminate a long wait and ensure that everyone has time to get his photo taken with our hometown star plus get a personalized autograph."

Ticket holders must bring their own cameras, with which Arts Council volunteers will be snapping one photo per ticket, according to Conger. As part of the package, Jones will personalize complimentary headshots. Tickets are $10 each and are on sale at Jack Jones Flowers and Gifts on the square in downtown Paris. Cash only, please.

The event is one of four fund-raisers scheduled throughout Saturday, Apr. 18. Other opportunities for fans of Jones or lovers of "24" include a silent auction of "24" memorabilia at the Heritage Center, a Town Hall Meeting — a question and answer session at the Krider Performing Arts Center — and the After Party at Lee Academy of the Arts.

Conger emphasized that those planning to attend the photo op or Town Hall Meeting should purchase tickets as soon as possible.

"A lot of people failed to get their After Party tickets and have been disappointed to find that it sold out weeks ago. These tickets will go quickly," Conger said.

The beneficiaries of these events include: Friends of the W.G. Rhea Library, Paris/Henry County Arts Council, Paris/Henry County Heritage Center, Lee Academy for the Arts and the Downtown Paris Association.

The day of events is sponsored by PARIS! magazine and MyParisMagazine.com, WENK/WTPR and KF/KQ radio stations, West Tennessee Printing and the Krider Performing Arts Center.

For more information on these events, go to MyParisMagazine.com or call Susan Jones at PARIS! magazine at 731-644-9926 or Gaines Hedges at 731-644-4412.

"24" airs on FOX affiliates at 8 p.m. central. Previous episodes can be viewed online at www.fox.com/24.
