The Greenfield Lady Yellow-jacket tennis team picked up another sweeping win. This time the host Union City Lady Tornadoes were the victims of a 7-0 defeat on Thursday.
The 7-0 win improved the Lady Jackets' record to 7-0.
At No. 1 singles, Katie McCall downed Mary Elizabeth Harpole, 8-1. At No. 2 singles, Lady Jacket Mallory Robinson had a bit tougher time with her UC foe, winning, 8-4, over Anna Moore.
Robinson and McCall teamed up for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles over Lady Tornadoes Elizabeth Fuller and Harpole.
At No. 3 singles, Greenfield's Summer Hoke handed an 8-2 defeat to Doreal Strayhorn. At No. 4, Melissa McCartney blanked UC's Fuller, 8-0.
Hoke and McCartney, playing at No. 2 doubles for GHS, buried Moore and Strayhorn, 8-0.
Greenfield got the win at No. 5 singles when Natalie Medling stopped Tkiara Davis, 8-1.
Playing in singles matches that didn't count toward the team scores, Medling also picked up wins at No. 7 singles, 6-0 over Jalyn Mosley, and No. 9 singles, 6-0 over Cameron Fishel. Lady Jacket Hannah Rawls got another win at No. 8 singles over UC's Alexis Freeman, 6-0.
