Nursing home announces events schedule

Obion County Nursing Home has announced the following activities for April 19-25.

Sunday: Troy First Baptist Church will visit and hold services at 10:30 a.m. At 2 p.m., a Sunday tea will be held. TV oldies will be shown at 3.

Monday: A coffee break will be held at 9:30 a.m. At 10, jigsaw puzzles will be offered to the residents. A bead class will be held at 2. At 3, a game of word scramble will be played.

Tuesday: A coffee break will be held at 9:30 a.m. At 10, games of word search will be offered to the residents. A “Cooking with Shelia” class will be held at 1:30 p.m. At 3, a game of balloon toss will be played.

Wednesday: A coffee break will be held at 9:30 a.m. At 10:30, a game of checkers will be played. Bingo will be played with the residents at 1:30 p.m. At 2:30, a game of Wii baseball will be played with the residents.

Thursday: The beauty shop will be open 8-11 a.m. At 2 p.m., an exercise class will be held. Cool down relaxation time will be held at 3.

Friday: A coffee break will be held at 9:30 a.m. A book study chapter 2 of “Traveling Light” will be held at 10. Bingo will be played with the residents at 1:30 p.m. At 2:30, a game of Wii bowling will be played with the residents.

Saturday: At 8:30 a.m., gospel music will be offered to the residents. First Assembly of God will visit and hold services at 10. At 1:30 p.m., a Saturday matinee will be shown. A devotional will be held at 3.
