President’s race very important
To The Editor:
The next year will contain a challenge for the American voter to say the least. I always believed that politicians were “servants of the people,” chosen to represent our beliefs and values and should govern in accordance with the wishes of the majority of the people. Somehow things have gotten off track. Rarely is there a politician who represents us.
This next presidential election will be an extremely important one, full of concerns and questions with little answers.
Where is the man whose platform reflects your beliefs and mine? I don’t see anyone who is willing to stand boldly and represent the values this country was created from and for, regardless of what misguided liberals have to say about it.
Where is the man who believes that the 1.8 million babies killed through abortion every year is shameful and unacceptable? One-third of all babies conceived in the U.S. are killed by abortion and no one has the courage to speak for them. Liberals call it “a woman’s right to choose” what happens to her own body. Yet, since half of all babies born are male and all babies born have a different DNA from the mother, obviously it is not her body she is destroying. It is a separate life that deserves protecting, not destruction.
Where is the man who believes that protecting our borders is as important as protecting our own homes against unwanted intruders, who by their very presence, are lawbreakers, who care nothing for our laws, who are here only to take, even to the taking back of land they consider stolen from them centuries ago? This is our home and should be protected as such. President Felipe Calderon of Mexico stated, “Mexico does not end at its borders.” Twenty-million illegals proudly believe that.
Where is the man who understands the danger of terrorism and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect us from the murder that hatred brings with it? Hate-filled dictators are given a platform from which to preach their nonsense and gullible audiences cheer them.
Where is the man that will stand against those who want Christianity banished from the America landscape, yet the tolerance of Islam is applauded as a “Religion of Peace”? Simply put, the Qur’an demands war be made on Christians and Jews. In fact, it teaches that nothing is holier or better than jihad warfare. How long can one refuse to see the threat of an enemy before that enemy takes advantage of blind ignorance? One study has shown that one-fourth of Muslims living in America believe that under some circumstances, suicide bombings are justified. Wake up, America!
Where is the man that fears the terrorist threat more than the praying Christian next door? Liberals turn a blind eye toward those who repeatedly affirm their hatred for America and yet continually attack every hint of Christianity or faith in God. They strip the Bible from our schools, take the Ten Commandments from our courthouse walls and then provide copies of the Qur’an in our courtrooms for Muslims to swear on. They coddle and protect haters of America. They smile, proud of their tolerance of those who hate us and show vast prejudice against the very values that created this country, values without which we would see America become the wasteland of sand and ignorance that marks so much of the rest of the world. Liberals have no ability to recognize a true enemy, one that is dedicated to our destruction.
Where is the man who sees the absurdity in not allowing the Bible or prayer to be permitted in our schools but re-enactment of Muslim worship services is acceptable?
Where is the man that understands that darkness and light cannot share the same room? Coexistence between those who love America and those who hate it and want to see it destroyed is impossible without tremendous compromise. And who is doing the compromising? Misguided Americans are. The terrorists certainly aren’t and they never will. There can be no negotiation with evil men bent on our destruction. Period.
With every major poll conducted, Christian values still rank high on the majority of Americans’ list of priorities. Where is the man who represents that fact? There seem to be plenty of self-serving liberals who think they know what’s best for us and wish to lead us out of the darkness they think we “common” people live in.
Where is the man who will simply stand up and say, unashamedly, boldly, loudly, and with authority, “Enough is enough?”
I hope he shows up soon.
