Association needs told

A spokesman for the Hornbeak Cemetery Association is informing those with loved ones buried in the Hornbeak Cemetery that maintenance of the grounds is provided from interest earned on the perpetual care fund and from contributions made by family members. Interest on the fund is not sufficient to meet expenses from year to year and addresses are not available for some family members, so individual notices cannot always be sent to request help with funding needs at the cemetery.

Those who would like to make donations may mail them to Hornbeak Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 265, Hornbeak, TN 38232.

Horner to sing

Eric Horner will appear in concert  Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Manna Ministries at 4001 Ken-Tenn Highway near Union City.

Horner is a native of Paducah, Ky., who learned guitar from another Paducah native, Steven  Curtis Chapman. He has performed with Chapman several times and has toured with several Nashville country acts, including Lee Greenwood.

Horner’s story of his life on the road and in the music business and God’s call to set him on the path “back to the cross” are a gripping testimony.

The community is invited to attend, according to the pastor, the Rev. Ruth Green.

Members of the church will be selling plate lunches Saturday from noon-2 p.m. for $6. The menu will include Southern-style chicken and dumplings or chicken and dressing.
