Several local students were among those recognized recently when Dyersburg State Community College honored members of the community, faculty and students at the college’s annual awards convocation.
The honorees for Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges included Dana Freeze of Hornbeak; Sarah Griggs of Kenton; Aja Sanford of Obion; Jennifer Smothers of Rives; Lisa Zalsman of Troy; and Stacey Goletto, Paula Phillips, Symantha Reed and Lee Spicer, all of Union City.
The Dean’s List honorees for three consecutive semesters also included Ms. Sanford, while the Dean’s List honorees for two consecutive semesters also included Robin Jean Long and Paula Kaye Phillips, both of Union City.
Among those who received recognition as a Student Ambassador was Amanda Tharp of Fulton.
