Women to meet
“Heart of the Kitchen” will be the theme for the luncheon sponsored by the Ken-Tenn Women’s Connection May 20 at 11 a.m. at Joe’s Steakhouse at 3762 Ken-Tenn Highway near Union City.
The special feature will be “A Blend of Ideas” for a perfect party. Sheila Ervin of Celebrations by Sheila in Union City will be presenting a large variety of party plans.
“Dough-Re-Mi” music will be performed by Steve Douglas of Martin, a very talented musician and singer, according to a spokesman.
Speaker for the day will be Pat Renner of Cape Girardeau, Mo. She enjoys giving dinner parties and has selected as her topic “Warm Cookies.”
All women are welcome to attend.
The $9.50 ticket price includes the program, buffet, drink and tip. Revival to begin
House of Prayer Pentecostal Church, located at 201 Carr St. in Fulton, will begin revival services this evening and continue through Saturday at 7 each evening, wrapping up at 10 a.m. Sunday. The Rev. Kerry Sangfroid of Walnut, Miss., will be the evangelist. The Rev. Daniel Woodruff and the congregation invite the community to attend.

Decoration Day set
Palestine Cemetery, located on Middle Road near Fulton, will have Decoration Day Sunday. Donations for perpetual care may be mailed to Palestine Cemetery Fund in care of Harold Pewitt, 1993 State Route 1706, Fulton, KY 42041 or to Gwen Browder, 5810 State Route 116 East, Fulton, KY 42041.
Anointed Church of the Living God, located at 1211 South Miles Ave. in Union City, will host the Women of the Word Fellowship Conference with the theme “Mission Impossible” this evening through Sunday morning. Service will be at 7 each evening and at 11:30 Sunday. The scriptural basis for the conference will be Matthew 19:26: “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Speakers will include evan-gelist Rita Pearson tonight, Elder LaRethia Motley Friday, Elder Stephanie Marshall Saturday and the church’s pastor, Bishop Barbara Bolden, Sunday.
