Block party set

The Union City Elementary School block party will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the school. UCES families and the entire community are invited to attend.
There will be hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza available and many fun activities, including Magical Mink’s inflatables and a treat walk. An art auction of students’ work will be held in the library and chances will be sold to win a Wii game system.
Many community organizations will be on hand to pass out information on their various programs.
“And don’t forget the principal’s big surprise is at 7:30 p.m.,” a spokesman said.
