Audrey M. Marsidi of Union City was among graduates who recently received degrees at the 160th commencement exercises of Rhodes College in Memphis.
Miss Marsidi, the daughter of Dr. Paul and Susanne Marsidi of Union City, graduated with a bachelor of science degree in biology.
She was also named to the spring semester Dean’s List, which requires a grade point average of at least 3.75 at Rhodes.
While at Rhodes, she was also director of the Woman’s Center and was employed at DeSoto Baptist Hospital in DeSoto, Miss.
Miss Marsidi has been accepted to attend the Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City on the campus of East Tennessee State University, where she will begin her studies in July.

Ashley B. Baldwin of Hornbeak was named to the Dean’s List with high honors for the spring semester at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Ms. Baldwin’s name was inadvertently omitted from the list of honorees UT Martin recently provided to The Messenger for publication.
To be eligible for Dean’s List recognition at UT Martin, a student must take at least 12 hours of credit (pass-fail courses are not included) and achieve a 3.2 (B) grade point average based on a 4.0 scale. Students can make the Dean’s List with honors (3.2 through 3.49), high honors (3.5 through 3.79) or highest honors (3.8 through 4.0).
