Buford Insco

Buford Insco, 92, of Dresden, died Monday, June 22, 2009, at the Weakley County Rehab and Nursing Center in Dresden.
Services were held 3 p.m. Thursday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden with Bro. Eddie Mallonee and Dr. Don McCulley officiating. Burial was in West Union Cemetery, Dresden.
Curtis Doran, Dustin Pinkston, Ken McIntosh, William Perkins, Ricky Finney and Kenneth Gatewood served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer was Larry Cobb.
Insco was born in Dresden, son of the late Monroe and Nora Wilbanks Insco. He was the widower of Mavis V. Sutherland, whom he was married to for more than 70 years, a self-employed painted and member of First Baptist Church, Dresden.
Survivors include one daughter, Evelyn Blackstone of Dresden; one grandson, Steven (Jennifer) Blackstone of Dresden; three great-grandchildren, Danielle Blackstone and Katie Mayo Pinkston, both of Dresden and Patrick Blackstone of Winchester; four great-great-grandchildren; one niece, Sue Ellen Oseman of Union City; and one nephew, Billy Cooper of Dresden.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Ann Insco; one brother, Lynnwood Insco; and one sister, Ruby Cooper.
