Lauren Alise Ferrell of Union City has been named to the Dean’s List during her freshman year at Murray (Ky.) State University.
She also recently became recognized as a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda national leadership and honors organization at MSU. Sigma Alpha Lambda is dedicated to promoting and rewarding academic achievement and providing members with opportunities for community service, personal development and lifelong professional fulfillment.
Miss Ferrell is the daughter of Sheri and Dennis Ferrell of Union City. She is the granddaughter of the late Prentiss and Dorthea Ferrell of Union City, Martha Taylor of Union City and Bill Taylor of West Virginia.
She will return in the fall for her sophomore year at MSU, where she is seeking a degree in corporate business, finance and criminal justice.
