UC registration set

Registration for students attending school in the Union City School System will be July 29 and this day will count as the first day of attendance, a spokesman said.
Students attending Union City High School are asked to report to the Union City Civic Auditorium in dress code at the following times: freshmen at 8 a.m., sophomores at 10, juniors at 10:30 and seniors at 11.
Union City Middle School students will register at the school at 8 a.m.
Union City Elementary School students will register at the school according to grade levels. Parents who have more than one child to register there my register both at the time assigned to the grade of the youngest child. The times are: kindergarten at 8 a.m., third grade at 9, first grade at 10, fourth grade at 11, second grade at 1 p.m. and fifth grade at 2.
Students new to Union City schools who have not reregistered for this school year are asked to visit the schools their children will be attending and register between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. before July 29. Students must have a Social Security number, birth certificate, immunization record and two proofs of residence, the spokesman said.
Buses will not run on registration day. Students who do not attend on registration day will be counted absent that day.
