| Freeman rips hole-in-one |

Martin resident Gerald Freeman recorded a hole-in-one while golfing Aug. 14 at Persimmon Hills Golf Course in Sharon.
Freeman used a 7 wood to card the ace on the par 3, 140-yard No. 8 hole.
The shot was witnessed by Joe Exum, Richard Caldwell and Jimmy Jackson.
Freeman completed his round by shooting 2-under-par 70.
