Westview's initial road test will be tough in McKenzie
Westview's initial road test will be tough in McKenzie | Westview Chargers, DeMarcus Williams, McKenzie Rebels, Martin, Tennessee

Big play potential — Westview senior running back DeMarcus Williams rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries last week. Williams also became the first Charger player to return two kickoffs for touchdowns in one game.
The Westview Chargers will try to shake off a gut-wrenching loss to Huntingdon and pick up their first win of the 2009 season when they travel East to take on the host McKenzie Rebels.
Kickoff for the non-district game is set for 7:30 on Friday night. It's the first meeting between the teams since 2004.
The Chargers (0-1) fell a foot short of a win, losing to the visiting Huntingdon Mustangs, 35-34, when they could not convert a two-point run on Thursday night. The Rebels are also coming off a tough loss, giving up a late touchdown to Camden to fall, 26-24, last Friday night.
Westview will have to slow down a Rebel offense which has multiple threats on the ground including Max Arnold and Jake Johnson. The WHS defense struggled to stop Huntingdon's rushing attack, allowing 475 total yards on the ground. Charger senior Brian West was the leading tackler with 14 stops.
The McKenzie defense will have to try to contain WHS senior running back DeMarcus Williams who rushed for 121 yards on 21 carries in the loss. Williams also became the first Charger in history to return two kickoffs for TDs in one game.
