OC BAND WINS — The Obion County Central High School Marching Rebel Band recently competed at the Mid-South Marching Classic in Jonesboro, Ark., and claimed a number of top honors. The band’s awards included Class 3A Champions for the fourth consecutive year; Superior band rating; Superior field commander rating; Superior color guard rating; Superior percussion rating; first place in Class 3A field commander; first place in Class 3A color guard; first place in Class 3A percussion; first place in Class 3A soloist (Nick Gatlin); second place in Class 3A soloist (Dustin Rainey); third place in Class 3A soloist (Andrew Berry); Overall High Score percussion; tied for second Overall Visual; second place Overall Music; and third place Overall Band.
