REED Center offering hands-on Excel seminar

The Messenger 10.19.09 The University of Tennessee at Martin Tennessee Small Business Development Center and the Obion County Public Library will host a hands-on seminar, “Beginning Excel,” 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Oct. 27 at the library. Participants will learn the basics of Microsoft Excel 2007 and be introduced to the new Ribbon interface and the new toolbars. They will also be taught the various ways to input information, create formulas and generate charts and graphs and useful tips to get started. Steve Holt, UT Martin Instructional Technology Center director, will be the instructor. The program is free; however, UT Martin Continuing Education credits are available for $10. The service is being offered in cooperation with the UT Martin Regional Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Center. Seating is limited to the first 20 registrants.
