Searcy promoted with bank | Sarah Searcy, First State Bank, marketing

SARAH SEARCY
The Messenger 11.12.07

Sarah Searcy has been promoted to marketing assistant for the marketing department at First State Bank’s corporate office.
She will be working in the Union City corporate office, located at 115 West Washington Ave., and will be assisting in the daily responsibilities of the marketing department within the First State organization.
“I am excited to have Sarah join the marketing team of First State,” said Mitsie Witherspoon, director of marketing. “Sarah’s educational background in marketing coupled with her various work experiences create a solid foundation for her to grow in this new position and provide practical application to our marketing initiatives. Over the past few years, as we have expanded, we have invested many resources into the marketing efforts of this company. Sarah adds another set of fresh ideas to our team to ensure that we are striving to serve our customers in the way they wish to be served.”
Ms. Searcy is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a bachelor of business administration, concentrating in marketing and management. Prior to joining the marketing department, Ms. Searcy served as a teller for the Bank of Madison County, a branch of First State Bank, at its Oil Well Road location in Jackson.
While employed in Jackson, Ms. Searcy was involved in several community events such as Relay for Life and the Arthritis Walk.
“Having been employed with First State Bank for a year now, I am very excited about joining the marketing department,” Ms. Searcy said. “Having grown up in the area, I have always held high regards for this organization and am grateful to be able to continue my career with such an emerging company. I look forward to growing and working with such an accomplished marketing team and esteemed financial entity.”
First State Bank has 28 full-service banking locations in 22 communities throughout West and Middle Tennessee. It is owned by Community First Bancshares, a holding company headquartered in Union City, which operates a mortgage company, an insurance company, a specialized ag services division, an employee benefits division, investment services, a consumer finance company and an in-direct auto financing division at various locations across the state.
The company has assets of over $1 billion and offices in Davidson, Dyer, Gibson, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, Obion, Robert-son, Shelby, Sumner, Tipton and Weakley counties in Tennessee. Metropolitan markets include Collierville, Gallatin, Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Jackson, Memphis, Nashville and White House.
