To the next level | Westview softball, Bryan College, Dayton, Tennessee, Shan Chappell, Shanna Chappell, DeAnna Chappell, Westview assistant softball coach Jessica Hightower, Westview, JB Suiter, Bryan College, Rocky Stinson, Martin, Tennessee
To the Next level — Westview Lady Charger softball pitcher Shanna Chappell will continue her athletic career at the collegiate level as a member of the Bryan College diamond team in Dayton, Tenn. "She's will bring character, hard work, dedication and an outstanding young lady all in one batch," WHS head softball coach JB Suiter said when asked what Chappell could bring to the Bryan program. BC head softball coach Rocky Stinson said of Chappell, "Primarily, from what I've seen of her at all levels — travel and high school, I've seen her dominate. Moving up to the college level will be different, but it will be something she can handle. She has enough pitches and moves the ball well." On hand for the signing were (front, from left) her father Shan Chappell, Shanna Chappell, her mother DeAnna Chappell, (back, from left) Westview assistant softball coach Jessica Hightower, Westview head softball coach JB Suiter and Bryan College head softball coach Rocky Stinson.
