Area lawyers and accountants can take advantage of continuing education opportunities at Dyersburg State Community College that will allow them to complete their license re-certification requirements.
Thursday, certified estate planning specialist Michael Adams will teach a half-day seminar that will give updates on changes in estate and inheritance law and changes in Tennessee trust law.
He will review common mistakes made in estate planning and show how to incorporate asset protection into an estate planning practice.
He will also provide information on advanced estate planning for taxes, including family limited partnerships, general skipping tax, GRAT’s and more.
The course will be held in the Security Bank Community Learning Center on the Dyers-burg campus. The cost, which includes all materials and refreshments, is $89 per person. Those attending will earn three CLEs or 3.5 CPEs, according to a spokesman.
For more information about the course, contact Birgit Northcutt at firstname.lastname@example.org or (731) 286-3265.
