Cantata at Liberty
A Christmas cantata, “Emmanual, Celebrating Hea-ven’s Child,” will be presented at Liberty Baptist Church at the intersection of highways 166 and 781 South near Fulton Sunday at 5 p.m. The program will be presented by the adult choir and directed by Chris Puckett. The public is invited to attend.

‘Joy’ to be the focus
“The Wonder of Christmas: Celebrate the Joy” will be presented by Calvary Baptist Church Worship and Youth Choirs Sunday at 10:30 a.m.  The musical, written and arranged by Phil Barfoot and Dave Williamson, is a celebration of music, all dedicated to the glory of God. The songs are packed with warm nostalgic moments, fresh contemporary settings, fun “surprises,” seasonal favorites and special moments of worship, according to a spokesman.
The musical is under the direction of the Rev. Luke Parker, minister of music, and the community is invited to attend. The Rev. Melvin Poe is pastor.
The church is located at 2250 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City.

Antioch Union Church in the Crystal community will host a Christmas program Sunday at 5 p.m. The program is titled “True Meaning of Christmas.”
There will be a fellowship time following the program, with finger foods for members of the congregation and guests, and Santa Claus will make a special visit.
The Rev. Walt Asher is pastor.

The third annual Christmas Bazaar will be Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m., at Union City First United Pentecostal Church, located at 1105 Edwards St. The bazaar will feature homemade baked and canned goods, candy, craft items, Christmas decor and ornaments, new and used merchandise, antiques and other “special” bargains.
Breakfast will be served from 9-10:30 and there will be soup, chili and dessert for lunch.

“Little Bethlehem,” presented by the congregations of Pleasant Valley and Shady Grove United Methodist churches, will be open to the public Dec. 18-20 from 6-8 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley location at 1422 Pleasant Valley Ave. in Union City. The free 10-minute guided tour through the village of Bethlehem, presented as it might have appeared 2,000 years ago at the time of the birth of Jesus, has become a favorite holiday tradition for many families in the area.
Those taking part are reminded they can donate non-perishable food items to help needy families in this area.
Refreshments will be served.
The Rev. Kenny Locke, pastor of the churches, and the congregations invite the community to join them and celebrate the birth of the Savior.
