Obion County Central High School seniors and their parents are reminded of the school’s financial aid workshop Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the commons area of the high school. The meeting is to provide information on the various types of financial assistance available for post-secondary education and to review helpful tips on completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This application is required for the Tennessee Lottery Scholarship program.
The guest speaker for the event will be Sandra Neel, the financial aid director from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Also representing a local source of aid will be Angie Fitzgerald with the Bill and Carol Latimer College Opportunity Fund.
These representatives will provide time for questions as part of the program.
The meeting is expected to last an hour and all seniors and their parents are encouraged to attend, according to guidance counselors at the school.
For more information, call the OCCHS guidance office at 536-4466, ext. 111.
