Game night planned

A Trivia Pursuit” family game night is being sponsored by the Hindsight Sunday School Class at Martin First United Methodist Church Saturday at 7 p.m. at the church. The fee is $5 per team member and teams will be composed of up to eight members. The teams may include contestants from third-grade age-level to senior citizens. Teams are encouraged to include youth participants from grades three to seniors. Each category will include questions at varied levels of difficulty. To encourage the participation of complete families and include topics for all ages, the competition will not only have the traditional categories but will also include a Dr. Seuss category and a Harry Potter category.

Childcare will be provided for children younger than 9 years old and there will be finger foods, including coffee, milk shakes, soft drinks and other items.

Music program set

Billy Hodges and Andy Stringfield from Dolly-wood’s Kingdom Heirs, along with Matthew Holt, Mark Brantly and, from Cross4Crowns, Justin Ter-ry, will appear  Sunday at 10:25 a.m. at Crosswind Church at 4440 Barham Road near Union City.

Programs to resume

The full slate of Wed-nesday night programs, including the fellowship meal, study sessions for adults, Methodist Youth Fellowship meeting, handbell classes for fifth- and sixth-graders and adults, Sign Choir, classes and activities for children of all ages and choir practice, will resume at Union  City First United Methodist Church Wednesday night on the regular schedule after the Christmas and New Year holiday break. The church is located at 420 East Main St. and Dr. David Russell is pastor.

 

Groups to sing

Billy Hodges and Friends will appear in concert at Union City Second Baptist Church Sunday at 6 p.m. The church is located at 831 North Everett Blvd. and the Rev. Eddie Mallonee is pastor. The public is invited to attend.
