STUDENTS’ SUCCESS SHOWCASED — Students in Jennifer Bruff’s fifth-grade class at Union City Elementary School show off some of the Civil War projects that were completed at the end of a recent unit study. They include (from left) Braedon Barnett, Samantha Marcy, A’Kryiona Johnson, Carlie Little, Courtney Johnson and Kaylin Epps. Projects included models of plantations, Civil War battles, the Underground Railroad and the cotton gin, as well as reports and posters on various people of importance during that time period.
