Paul Bavido of the Martin Fire Department works with Joe Pearce of Pearce Truck and Auto of Martin to clear the intersection of Church and S. Lindell streets Thursday afternoon when the driver of the vehicle, 86-year-old Mary Grissom of Martin, was attempting to make a left turn from the intersection and struck a ‘97 Dodge Ram driven by 18-year-old Dustin Wheeler of Greenfield. According to the accident report, Grissom said she failed to see Wheeler until they collided. Wheeler’s vehicle was towed by Harper’s Wrecker Service of Martin. Grissom’s ‘07 Toyota Camry received significant damage during the incident. No injuries were reported. The Martin Police Department and Weakley County Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
