| UTM student charged with child rape |

A University of Tennessee at Martin student from Camden has been charged with two counts of rape of a child and one count of aggravated sexual battery. According to a press release issued by the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, 20-year-old Michael Anthony Reinhard, Jr. was arrested after a joint investigation by the HCSD Criminal Investigation Division and the state Department of Children’s Services revealed the accused allegedly had unlawful sexual contact with a female under the age of 13 in May 2009 in Henry County. He was taken into custody by the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department on campus last Wednesday and later extradited to Henry County.
Reinhard remains jailed in Henry County on a $250,000 bond pending a preliminary hearing Thursday.
