The Obion County Museum is reopening Saturday and will be open each Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Group tours may be arranged at other times by calling 885-6774 or 536-5660.
The museum is featuring military war history, beginning with the Civil War and continuing through the present conflict in Iraq.
This is the largest exhibit the local museum has ever featured and includes uniforms, photos, artifacts and weapons.
“If you are a history buff or enjoy viewing war memorabilia, be sure to stop by. And remember to say ‘hi’’ to our woolly mammoth while you are there,” said Larry Mink, chairman of the museum board.
The museum is located at 1004 Edwards St. in Union City.
