Dresden and UTM/UTK graduate, Lin Dunn, was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame on Feb 19, in Nashville at the Renaissance Hotel. Dunn has coached college and professional women’s Basketball for 40 years. She began her career in 1970 at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. Dunn is currently the head coach of the Indiana Fever of the WNBA. Many of her family and friends from the Weakley County area attended the banquet. Her immediate family included her aunt, Marie Mangum of Dresden; Amy and Rickey Finney of Dresden; Andy and Patsy Mangum of Dresden; Lowe and Tiffany Finney of Jackson and Lauren and Zac Dunlap of Paducah, Ky. Her two sisters were also at the event – Carrie and Dick Thurston of Chattanooga and Mary and Brittany Byrd of Mt Juliet. Dunn is the daughter of LaRue Dunn of Dresden and the grandaughter of the late Cayce and Carrie Pentecost of Dresden.
