Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council, in cooperation with the States Department of Agriculture, will be distributing commodity foods on Wednesday and Thursday, April 7-8 at the Agency Central Office at 231 South Wilson Street, Dresden. Distribution will be between the hours of 8 a.m.-noon. If your last name begins with A-K, you will come on Wednesday, April 7 and if your name begins with L-Z, you will come on Thursday, April 8.
Everyone picking up commodities must have a purple ID card. We will not take applications on the day the commodities are distributed. There will be no numbers given out before 7 a.m. Everyone is also asked to bring boxes.
NWTEDC is an EOE and does not discriminate in services to clients on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, age, national origin or disabilities.
Commodity distribution is a first-come, first-served based program. Please be aware that due to a shortage of inventory of some food that is on hand, you may not receive the same numbers of items as someone else in the event a food item runs out.
For more information on the Commodity Food Program, contact Lottie Cooper, County Service Manage, at 364-2272 or go by the Northwest County Service Center at 231 South Wilson Street, Dresden.
