Budding entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to attend a free seminar especially for them at the Pontotoc Building in Fulton.
“How to Start a Small Business” — set for May 4 from 10 a.m. to noon — will be sponsored by the University of Tennessee at Martin Tennessee Small Business Development Center and Regional Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Center.
This small business seminar is interactive and will provide attendees with information on starting a small business venture.
Subject areas to be discussed include how to evaluate yourself as a potential business owner; how to examine the potential market for your business idea; the basics of starting a business, including the requirements of the loan process; and writing the business plan.
A question-and-answer session will follow the program.
Hollie Holt, UT Martin Tennessee Small Business Development Center and REED Center director, will present the seminar.
For additional information or to register for the seminar, call (731) 587-7333 or register online at www.utm.edu/reed or call the Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce at (731) 479-7029.
