Minor injuries sustained in motorcycle wreck
A Friday afternoon accident resulted in only minor injuries after a motorcycle driver was transported to a local hospital.
According to an accident report issued by the Martin Police Department, Patricia Booker, 48, of Meadowbrook Drive, was turning left out of Little General parking lot onto Skyhawk Parkway at 5:03 p.m. when she was struck on the driver’s side door of her 1999 Oldsmobile.
Stephen Warren, 27, of Fulton Road in Brownsville, was traveling south on Skyhawk Parkway on a 1996 Honda motorcycle. According to the report, Warren stated that he saw Booker exiting the parking lot of the gas station but could not stop his motorcycle in time.
Upon impact, Warren was thrown approximately 10 feet from his motorcycle. Warren was transported to Volunteer Community Hospital by the Weakley County Ambulance Service.
Booker and her passenger were both wearing seatbelts, and Warren was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Warren’s injuries were non-critical.
The MPD, Martin Fire Department and Weakley County Ambulance Service responded to the scene of the two-vehicle accident.
