Unrelated incidents lead to statutory rape arrests
Two Weakley County men, one from Union City and a second man from Gleason, were taken into custody and charged with statutory rape in unrelated incidents.
According to a press release issued by the Martin Police Department, officers located a black Ford Explorer parked at the Martin Rec Complex Saturday around 10:30 that evening.
During an investigation of the scene, officers apparently learned that 28-year-old Quinton Kimble of Union City allegedly had sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old female at that location, according to the release.
An affidavit claims Kimble admitted to penetrating the juvenile in a written statement to authorities.
Kimble was arrested and charged with statutory rape.
A second man in Gleason is also housed at the Weakley County Detention Center and faces one charge of statutory rape for allegedly having intercourse with a 14-year-old female in an unrelated incident.
According to an affidavit filed by the Gleason Police Department, 18-year-old Jacob Ross Hall reportedly had intercourse with a 14-year-old during the last week of February.
The affidavit claims the incident took place in Gleason.
Hall faces one charge of statutory rape.
