A Martin man found slumped over the steering wheel of his car on Thursday has been identified as Cresensio Ramirez of Highland Avenue in Martin.
According to an incident report, officers and EMS workers were dispatched to the intersection of Main and Gardner streets Thursday around 3 p.m. A witness apparently reported that 60-year-old Ramirez’s vehicle slowly merged over to the shoulder of the road before landing in a ditch.
After finding Ramirez slumped over in the seat of the vehicle, officers were dispatched to the scene and attempted CPR.
Ramirez was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room.
