DSCC holds commencement exercises

Over 165 candidates for graduation from Dyersburg State Community College recently took part in 40th annual commencement exercises at the Dyer County High School gymnasium.
This was the fifth year commencement was held at DCHS to accommodate the number of friends, family and well-wishers.
DSCC President Karen Bowyer recognized members of the faculty and staff who have retired or will retire by the end of the school year.
The key speaker for the event was John Farris, a member of the Tennessee Board of Regents. Farris, a partner in the Memphis law firm of Farris Bobango Branan PLC, was selected one of the Best Lawyers in America in 2008.
