Indy cops find drugs
in SUV of Griz star

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A longtime friend of Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph faces drug charges after Indianapolis police said they found him driving the NBA star’s sport utility vehicle with a cooler containing marijuana.
Arthur Boyd, 32, was arrested after police investigated an informant’s tip that Randolph was involved with Indianapolis-area drug dealers, according to court documents. Boyd has pleaded not guilty to charges of possessing and dealing marijuana.
Randolph, who was not in the vehicle, has not been arrested and “adamantly denies” any involvement with drug activity, his attorney, John Tompkins, said Thursday.

Vandy OT Williams
out due to grades

NASHVILLE (AP) — Offensive tackle James Williams will not be returning to Vanderbilt for the 2010 season because of academic reasons.
The school posted a two-sentence statement on its website Wednesday and said he will not be enrolled at Vanderbilt during the fall semester.
The 6-foot-6 Williams started two games at right tackle last season as a redshirt sophomore before dislocating his left ankle and having season-ending surgery.
