| Gleason Fire Department awarded grant |

The Gleason Fire Department has been awarded a grant from the Department of Homeland Security, Con. John Tanner recently announced.
The $175,750 federal grant is available through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. It will be used for vehicle acquisition, Tanner said.
“Our firefighters are instrumental in protecting our communities, and it is important that we provide these men and women with the tools they need to do their jobs safely,” Tanner said.
“Providing our first responders with the resources they need is also a strong message of appreciation for the hard work they do.”
Tanner represents Tennessee’s 8th Congressional district in West and Middle Tennessee.
