Fab 4 — Four members of the Westview Lady Chargers were recognized for their career achievements during the softball team’s postseason awards banquet Thursday night. The four recently graduated players (from left) Shanna Chappell, Ashley Bynum, Jenna Hazelwood and Kelly Gaston helped lift the Westview softball program among the elite in the state. During their four years in high school, the Lady Chargers team made four consecutive appearances in the state tournament with finishes among the top five (2010), the top eight (2009) and the top six (2007, 2008). Their career won-lost record is 127-61 with three district tournament championships and one region crown. They also won two regular season district championships. During their tenure at Westview, they averaged 31 wins per season with a single-season high of 36 wins in 2009.
