UC registration set

Registration for students attending Union City School System classes will be Aug. 2. This counts as the first day of school attendance for the 2010-11 academic year. Students who do not attend will be counted absent for the day.
Students at Union City High School should report to the Union City Civic Auditorium on the UCHS campus, attired according to dress code, on the following schedule:
• Freshmen at 8 a.m.
• Sophomores at 10 a.m.
• Juniors at 10:30 a.m.
• Seniors at 11 a.m.
Freshmen will be running a mini-schedule and will be dismissed at 10:15. Other classes will need to plan to spend an hour registering.
Union City Middle School students will register at the school at 8 a.m.
Union City Elementary School students will register at the school according to grade level. Parents with more than one child to register may do so at the time assigned to the youngest child’s grade level.
• Kindergarten at 8 a.m.
• Third grade at 9 a.m.
• First grade at 10 a.m.
• Fourth grade at 11 a.m.
• Second grade at 1 p.m.
• Fifth grade at 2 p.m.
Students new to the school system who have not pre-registered are advised to go to their respective schools and register from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. before Aug. 2. Parents are reminded to have with them the student’s social security number, birth certificate, immunization record and two proofs of residence.
Buses will not run on registration day.
